“I love the world of words, where life and literature connect.” “Ah, how good it is to be among people who are reading.” Her novel, SUMMER DANCE, was the 2018 winner of the Nancy Pearl Award. Nan’s books have been highly acclaimed by reviewers from Publisher’s Weekly to Booklist.

Compassionate, real, and funny, her books take readers on emotional journeys that often include heartbreak and joy, but also include threads of faith, a furry friend or two, and an uplifting ending. She draws from her own experiences to create authentic situations that mirror the trials and triumphs of life. New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Nan Rossiter loves to weave together stories about the complicated relationships to which all readers can relate - motherhood, sisterhood, friendship, marriage and romance. Promises to Keep Information Here Meet the Author, Nan Rossiter Recommended: I recommend Promises to Keep for readers who are looking for light, uplit reads with poignant themes, for fans of romance (mostly closed door) and HEA, and for fans of stories that include a Christian perspective. Although neatly tied up in the end, the various storylines were interesting, compelling, and seemed realistic to me.Ĭontent Consideration: teenage pregnancy, adoption, death of a parent, death of a grandparent, grief I appreciate that this romance also includes some meaningful content dealing with elder care, a secret of the past coming back to turn your life upside down, grief, a difficult family relationship, and communication/relationship challenges. What I love: In between reading some heavier reads, I appreciate a simply-told story with a cast of likable characters and a rural, small-town setting! I love the themes of friendship, forgiveness, grief, second chances, honesty, secrets, a supportive community, and family loyalty. Overall, Promises to Keep is a heartwarming and engaging uplit romance told from a Christian perspective with characters to cheer for.

Can they save their relationship? My Thoughts: Complications arise when they realize that they’ve been keeping secrets from each other about their past. Set in the South (Georgia), this story finds thirty-something Maeve working in a private nursing home and enjoying a relationship with her handsome boyfriend, Gage, who works construction and adores his dog, Gus. It can be read as a stand-alone (although it’s always a richer reading experience to have read the first in the series). Promises to Keep is a sequel to Promises of the Heart in the Savannah Skies series.
